Kumbh Vivah | Astrobelief Astrology

Kumbh Vivah is a traditional Hindu practice in which a person, usually a woman, is married to a pitcher or a Peepal tree before marrying an actual person. It is believed that the Kumbh Vivah ritual helps to break any negative effects of past marriages or previous relationships, and allows the person to start afresh with a clean slate.

Kumbh Vivah ritual

The Kumbh Vivah ritual is usually performed for women who are Manglik or have a mangal dosha, which is an astrological condition that is believed to cause problems in marriage. In some cases, it is also performed for men who have the same astrological condition.

After the Kumbh Vivah ritual is performed, the pitcher or Peepal tree is discarded, and the person can then marry an actual person without any negative astrological effects. The Kumbh Vivah is not a widely practised tradition, and it is mostly performed in certain regions of India, particularly in the North Indian states of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

It is important to note that while the Kumbh Vivah ritual may have cultural and traditional significance for some individuals, it is not a recognized or sanctioned practice within Hinduism, and there is no scientific evidence to support its effectiveness in breaking the negative effects of past marriages or relationships.
